The Nutshell is launched!
The 1st edition of the Fantasy Football Nutshell.
Good morning. Welcome to the first edition of the Fantasy Football Nutshell. What is the Nutshell you might ask? Wonderful question and I may not have all the answers just yet. I have no shortage of ideas on what this can become but what I do know is there an opportunity for a great Fantasy Football newsletter that is independent, delivers value and fun and keeps you informed all year long. Let the games begin…..
Free Agency
Overall not the deepest free agent class. QB’s may be the story with LV releasing Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers in a dark retreat making decisions on his future. The Lamar story is getting interesting as BAL may use the non exclusive Free Agency tag on Lamar which would allow him to negotiate with other teams and BAL could match the offer or let him go and receive 2 first-round picks as compensation Ian Rapport. Top offensive free agents:
Lamar Jackson BAL
Saquan Barkley NYG
Derek Carr FA
Josh Jacobs LV
Tony Pollard DAL
Daniel Jones NYG
We're on to 2023!
Here is the NFL Unrestricted Free Agency Cheat Sheet:

TRIVIA
Which team has the most cap space heading into 2023 Free Agency?
My 2022 Key Takeaways
QB - Draft not too early but not too late either.
In a world where RB and TE can be unpredictable, you may want to sure up the position of QB earlier than later.
RB - How many teams are dedicated to a workhorse back these days?
Any backs that are left are sure to get hurt along the way. Your 1st round draft pick needs to hit and how many RB’s come with very low risk. Not sure if I fully endorse zero RB but clearly I want more draft capital spent on WR’s and QB’s and I will fill the RB spot the best I can.
WR - The QB and the OL matter.
This one seems easy enough. The teams with the best QB and OL’s seem to have lots of fantasy assets racking up points. Check out the pic below from Stat Muse. Teams had great QB’s or Great OL’s or both. The likes of Brandin Cooks & Darnell Mooney are far from these teams.

News & Notes:
Will be fun to have Jim Bob Cooter back as OC in INDY - Let the name jokes commence!
Daniel Jones heading for the Franchise Tag at $45 million per year? - Not a bad move to see if he can continue to develop before long-term commitment.
Eagles lose both coordinators and have a bunch of free agents especially on the defense.
Chicago Bears are on the clock - will they trade the pick or Justin Fields?
ANSWER
Chicago Bears with $97,786,266 in Cap Space for 2023
