Free Agency Frenzy is Over

On to the NFL Draft

Happy Sunday! The dust has settled in the initial free agency frenzy. The next couple of weeks will be slightly slower paced but just as impactful as players will continue to be picked up and others cut or traded as we head to NFL Draft in late April. Kareem Hunt, Ezekiel Elliott and Dalton Shultz are all looking for work. Plenty of defensive help available on the open market. Check out your teams cap space at overthecap.com with Jason_OTC.

MARKETS

  • Markets: Russell Wilson will be better this year as Denver improved a very below average OL. Trevor Lawrence looks too good to be true adding Calvin Ridley to the mix and keeping TE Evan Engram on the Franchise Tag. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin might struggle given a weaker OL and QB’s of Kyle Trask & Baker Mayfield. Miami and Seattle defenses improved and Seattle has lots of draft capital.

The quarterback is the most important position in all of sports! It is safe to say that at least 10 NFL teams do not have their QB of the future on their roster. Hence the QB drama every NFL draft. GMs bet the future of the franchise and their jobs on hoping that a high drafted QB pans out. This year is no different. Bryce Young at 5’10 204 is a high risk pick. CJ Stroud is a solid pick but maybe limited upside. Then there is Anthony Richardson who seems to be thought of as a #1 pick or a never pick by some GMs.
